Found this program while searching for an FSX tool. Its called AirEd, from reading it says it decodes your .AIR files to work on them. I downloaded it and tried it out, but don't know what to do with it. Here's the link for all of you people that edit and build aircraft.

been using this for years and years and years..  it is probably the single most important tool in manipulating flight dynamics that there is.. yes, there are a few bits and parts that can be manipulated in the aircraft.cfg file, but the real guts of how a plane flies (and all of the physics and higher math) are in the *.air file....

It is part of my essential workflow along with Jerry Beckwith's original 1% FDE workbook (the big excel spreadsheet, not his later program, Air Wrench, although I use that as well on occasion...
