I just picked up 3DS MAX 2012  I think I am going to start getting my feet wet with it.

"CON, SONAR, CONTACT TWELVE HUNDRED METERS BEARING 118 DEPTH ON THE SURFACE"

smile Enjoy that, there are some good tutorials, and you will need a few. It's not difficult once you understand the interface and tools. gMax is great for FSX. I wonder if the FSX Game pack for gMax will work with 3DS ?

Gmax is pretty much useless now adays for FSX. I got all that Air Tractor stuff done in GMAX and I gotta start over with 3DS

What gives with that? Curious. I have used it a bit and the built in FSX stuff is handy. Curious why the trouble for future reference.

From the reading I have done its fairly easy to convert 3ds into fsx.  Most of the payware developers are using it.

I've got 3DS 2010, been thinking of upgrading (my company has a few subscriptions to autodesk so we can get free updates) what are your thoughts so far? And what do you use it for? At US$3,495 (MSRP) it certainly is a spendy program for a hobby....
